McJunkin's Project Trailers

McJunkin's Mobile Warehouse Program utilizes mobile inventory trailers to store material at your site, close to the point of use. Material for major capital projects, planned shutdowns /outages /turnarounds, or emergency situations is readily available assuring:

• optimal productivity
• reduced lead times
• reduced procurement and handling costs

McJunkin's Mobile Warehouse Program has proven to be an effective method for controlling materials requisitioned during the course of projects. By keeping material close to the point of use, the project avoids costly delays. Additionally, McJunkin’s expertise in materials management can be leveraged to your benefit. Some of the common benefits of the program include:

• material protection
• material availability
• consolidated purchasing / invoicing
• overstock elimination
• detailed reporting
• reduced transaction costs on low dollar items

Trailer and Staffing - McJunkin can provide staffed or unstaffed trailers. Some customers prefer to staff trailer with their own personnel, however we can provide that service for you. By using McJunkin staff you have access to people with experience in material distribution and handling - speeding up transactions and keeping the job site active.

Material Eligibility and Inventory Level - Together, we will determine a list of materials that will be best suited to meet your requirements. The list should include all of the repetitively-used PVF materials for the upcoming project; it should not include large-dollar items and / or capital equipment.

Stock and Delivery - McJunkin stocks and delivers a fully-binned and lighted trailer to your job site. You provide electrical hookup and stairs. Upon delivery, your company representative and the McJunkin representative will inventory the trailer contents from the stock list to assure accuracy.

Usage and Replenishment - If the trailer is not staffed, a McJunkin representative will take physical inventory of the contents on a regularly-scheduled basis. The difference between the previous inventory and the current inventory is the periods’s usage. McJunkin will immediately restock the trailer to the original inventory. Your representative can verify the replenishment shipment to assure accuracy.

Billing - McJunkin’s Mobile Warehouse Program offers two billing options, depending on the length of time the trailer will be on the job site. For use two months or less, payment will be expected at the conclusion of the job. For more than two months, payment will be handled monthly. In both cases, your representative and ours will perform an inventory. McJunkin will then provide a summarized statement showing the value of the original shipment, replenishment shipment and returned items.

Reporting - An additional benefit to having a trailer staffed are the powerful reporting capabilities available. If you have a requirement to track material usage by unit, asset, ISO, P&ID, or contractor.
