Diversity at McJunkin
McJunkin has developed a formal Business Diversity Program policy and committed resources to this effort. Our program focuses on underrepresented business classes including small, minority, and women owned businesses. We are currently expanding our program to include those businesses located in HUB zones and business owned by disabled veterans.
Our focus has provided significant results. In 2006, our annualized spend with diverse business enterprises represented almost 20% of our purchasing expenditures.
Our efforts were recently reviewed in this area in order to increase our spend with minority owned businesses. We are continuing to enhance our reporting capabilities and our process for identifying new potential diverse suppliers.
